John J. Vrdolyak, age 89, Ret. Sgt. CPD, late of the East Side passed away on March 6, 2021. Survived by his loving brother Edward (Denise) Vrdolyak and many caring nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Peter and Matilda Vrdolyak, sisters: Mary Genevieve (Henry) Simmons and Matilda Vrdolyak and brothers: Joseph (Barbara), Peter (Geraldine) and Victor (Ruth) Vrdolyak. Veteran of U.S. Army. John retired as a Sergeant with the Chicago Police Department after many years of distinguished service. Visitation Friday, March 12, 2021. DIRECTLY at Sacred Heart Croatian Church, 2864 East 96th Street, Chicago from 9:30am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
