William R. Schmidt, age 75. Late of the East Side. Passed away on February 17, 2021. Beloved husband of Maureen (nee Howell) for 50 years. Loving father of Carol (Tony) Khoury and William Schmidt. Devoted grandfather of Connor, Gavin, Skylar, Frederick, and Logan. Dearest brother of late Frederick (late Mary Lou) Schmidt. Also survived by many caring sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Bill was a retired educator for Archdiocese of Chicago and longtime active parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Church. He also coached for the East Side Little League and girls’ softball.
