Caroline E. Sherly, age 92, of Dyer, Indiana. Passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. Carrie is survived by her husband, John of 41 years and preceded in death by her first husband Walter Kubek. Loving mother of Carolyn (Frank) Cantele, Wayne (Denise) Kubek, Cynthia (late Aldo) Sulli, Loralyn Laich, Glenn (Sue) Kubek, Lynette (Mike) Cremerius, Mark (Maggie) Sherly, Linda Sherly, Marijo (Mike) Huetton, Matt (Jennifer) Sherly, Sue Cash, the late Leanne Arredondo, Janice (Mark) Vranicar, and Caroline Powell. Beloved grandmother “Nonny” to Cariann, the late Cristylyn, Jaclyn, Tony, Anthony, Dominic, Michael, Brandon, Jori, Glenn, Alexis, Paige, Blair, Clair, Ryan, Rene, Trish, Jillian, Luke, Michael, Joey, Nathan, and the late Will. Cherished great-grandmother to the late Evan, Matthew, Charlotte, Eleanor, Aubrey, Paden, Colton, Xander, Victoria and Asher. Carrie’s passion in life was her family especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She always felt cold, so warm Island, Hawaiian and Florida winter vacations were enjoyed for many years. She is now enjoying a warm eternal life in Heaven. In lieu of flowers please consider a tribute donation to Hospice of the Calumet Area or Alzheimer’s Association in Carrie’s name. Visitation, Funeral Service and Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be held privately for the family.

"Dear Kubek/Shirley family, your mom has always been like a mom to me since I was a little girl. I will always remember her smiling face and her angry one, especially when she was yelling at Cindy😄 So glad I got to see her this year and we had a nice conversation talking about old times. I loved her very much. Happy she is at peace with other members of her family and friends ❤ I will never forget her kindness and love to me. May you all find comfort that she went peacefully and is at rest now with God. Love you all ❤"
