Irene Resa, (nee Ortega), age 89, late of South Deering, passed away November 17, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Victor Resa.  Loving mother of Laura (late Charlie) Garcia, Rosalie (late Anthony) Esquivel, Frank (Anita) Samaniego, John (late Sandra) Flores, Robert Rodriguez, Eugene Rodriguez, Leslie (late Michael) Tighe, Charles Rodriguez, Lynn (Javier) Ramos, David (Jody) Rodriguez and Lydia Resa.  Proud grandmother and great grandmother of many.  Caring sister of David (Susan) Ortiz.  Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Irene was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Consuelo Ortega, and siblings: Charles Ortega, Francis Aguilera, Eugene Ortega, Rosendo Ortega, Marcelino Ortega and Elizabeth Ramirez.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, visitation, funeral services and committal services will be held privately for the immediate family.  Elmwood Chapel, Chicago entrusted with arrangements.  773-731-2749 www.elmwoodchapel.com

"Rest In Peace Irene, I will never forget that you were there for me and my family in time of crisis. My younger brother having been hit by a car was taken to another area hospital and my mother and I did not know how we would get to him.
