Ignacio Godina Sr., “Nacho”, age 67, late of South Chicago, passed away October 28, 2020.  Beloved husband of Ofelia (nee Salazar) for 46 years.  Loving father of Noemy Godina, Jane (Mario) Perez, Ignacio Godina Jr. and Roberto Godina.  Cherished grandfather of Samantha Godina-Tellez, Mario D. Perez, Sophia Perez and Vincent Perez.  Devoted son of the late Geronimo Godina and the late Juanita Mendoza de Godina.  Dearest brother of Raquel (Refugio Gonzales) Godina, Chuya Godina, Armando Godina, Maria Elena (Joel) Correa, Susana Godina, Joaquin (Guillermina) Godina, David (Minda) Godina, Rebeca (Jose) Delgadillo, Erick Pablo (Lisa) Godina and Leticia (late Roberto) Magallanes. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Ignacio was a retired employee of Frank’s Auto Rebuilders with over 20 years of service.  “Nacho” was a car enthusiast who enjoyed watching wrestling and going to the movies. He also enjoyed visiting flea markets and tending to his yard and garden. He enjoyed seeing bullfights and his retirement dream was to travel down the coast, sunbathing at the beaches and eating fresh seafood. Visitation Monday 2-9pm.  Funeral services Tuesday, November 3, 2020  9:15am prayers from Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.  Mass 10am.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  773-731-2749 www.elmwoodchapel.com
