Javier “Javi” Ramos, age 42. Late of Vet’s Park. Passed away October 20, 2020.  Beloved son of Providencia and Herman Ramos. Loving Fiancée of Shirlinda Floyd. Cherished brother of Riccardo (Serena) Ramos. Devoted uncle of Emiliano, Diego and Amelia Ramos. Dearest nephew of Wilfredo Ortiz, Pablo (Lourdes) Ortiz and Elisa Mercado. Also survived by his loving dogs Kilo and Jade. Javi is preceded in death by his grandparents Hermogenes and Amelia Ramos and Edwardo and Maria Ortiz. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grammar School, Class of 1992, Mt. Carmel High School, Class of 1996 and UTI, Class of 1998. After UTI Javi went on to the Ford Institute and became a certified master mechanic. He was a former employee of the Philadelphia Public School System and employee of the Ford Motor Company.  Javi was also known for being the neighborhood mechanic. Visitation Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 1-5pm at the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Avenue, Chicago. For more information 773-731-2749.

"Jav will definitely be missed by his friends in Slag Valley. This is very heart breaking and will take a long time to heal. My condolences go out to his brother Rick and the rest of his family including his nephews who he always talked about and was very proud of them too.
