Carlos R. Sanchez, age 77, late of the East Side and formerly of South Chicago passed away on October 10, 2020. Beloved husband of Maria Rebecca Sanchez for 50 years. Loving father of Rebecca Elizabeth (Robert CPD) Hernandez, Lucia “Lucy” V. Sanchez (CPS) and Carlos E. (Lupe CPD) Sanchez (CPD). Devoted grandfather of Ruby Atilano (Enrique Villa), Johnny Atilano, Rob Hernandez, Jade Hernandez, Ashley Soto, Justin Soto, Daniel Sanchez (Josie Clark), Carly Sanchez (Damian Viveros), late Mia Sanchez, Marissa Sanchez and Lea Sanchez. Dear son of the late Jose and late Maria Veneranda Sanchez. Dearest brother of Ramona Sanchez, Herminio (Angelica) Sanchez, Jose Sanchez, Luz Elena (Trinidad) Avalos, Rosario (Salvador) Avalos, Socorro (Marcelino) Flores and late Carmela (Pedro) Alvarado. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Nabisco Foods with 38 years of dedicated service. Longtime active member of the Church of the Annunciata where he was active in many of the church organizations. Visitation Thursday 2-9 p.m. Funeral Friday, October 16, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL to Church of the Annunciata.
