Roque I. Huerta, “Rocky”, age 66, late of the East Side passed away on October 8, 2020. Beloved husband of Edelmira Huerta for 38 years. Loving father of Roque Huerta, Jr., Alejandro Huerta, Maria Huerta and Bianca (Ricardo) Huerta-Oliva. Cherished grandfather of Ariana, Alice, Abigail, Alexandria and Emma. Dear son of the late Jose and late Eustolia Huerta. Dearest brother of Eustolia (Jose) Gordo, Jose (Guadalupe) Huerta, late Mauro (late Rosaura) Huerta, Maria (Rigoberto) Delreal, Ruben Huerta, late Ramiro Huerta, Antonio (Dolores) Huerta, Matilda (Rene) Alvarado and Petra Huerta. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired City of Chicago Carman, METRA. Visitation Sunday 1-8 p.m. Funeral Monday, October 12, 2020 at 9:15 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. "I worked with Rocky and golfed with Rocky and sometimes even fought with Rocky. But i always believed we were friends and had a lot of laughs with him. I regret not keeping in touch with him after I retired. We had a lot of time to talk and I know how much he loved his family and grandchildren, and how proud he was of them. I will miss him."
