Socorro M. Ruiz, (nee Llamas), “Soco”, age 88, late of Roseland, passed away September 28, 2020.  Beloved wife of the late Jesus J. “Don Jesus”.  Loving mother of Dolores (Guillermo) Villalvazo, Adrian (Jose Jr.) Fragoso, Sylvia Ruiz and Jesse (Michele) Ruiz.  Cherished grandmother of Cesar (Katie) Luna, Jennifer Luna, Cecilia Villalvazo, Jonathan Ruiz, Jose Fragoso III and Benjamin Ruiz.  Adored great grandmother of Madeline Valdez, Nico Luna, Sebastian Valdez and Maximo Luna.  Dearest sister of Martha (Juan) Garcia and the late Salvador (late Estela) Llamas.  Fond aunt and cousin of many.  “Soco” was a longtime parishioner and volunteer at St. Anthony Church.  She enjoyed baking, knitting and crocheting and loved spending time with her family.  Visitation Sunday 1-8pm at Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago.  Due to Covid-19 limitations, the funeral mass on Monday, October 5, 2020 at St. Anthony Church will be private. Friends are welcome to join the Ruiz Family at 11am in the St. Anthony Church parking lot, 11533 S. Prairie, for the funeral procession to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th Street, Alsip, for a brief graveside service and interment.
