Dionicio “Don Nicho” Salazar, age 92.  Late of South Chicago.  Passed away September 13, 2020.  Beloved husband of the late Maria Guadalupe “Lupita”.  Loving father of Maria Consuelo (Romaldo) Alvarez, Francisco (Maria Guadalupe) Salazar, Ofelia (Ignacio) Godina, Angelina (Raymond) Fierro, Felipe (Magdalena) Salazar, Bernardo (Angela) Salazar, Rosalva (Joel) Torres, Manuel (Elvia) Salazar, Carlos (Laura) Salazar, and Ricardo Salazar.  Cherished grandfather and great grandfather of many.  Don Nicho is also survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He was a retired employee of Wisconsin Steel.  Visitation Tuesday, September 15, 2020 2-9 pm.  Funeral Services Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 8:45 am from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.  Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 am.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Due to the Covid 19 pandemic and state and local health officials, if you are attending the visitation or funeral services, masks and social distancing are required.  Any and all food or drink brought to the funeral home lounge must be prepackaged individually for consumption.  For more information 773-731-2749
