Christopher A. Rodriguez, “Chris”, age 29, late of the East Side of Chicago, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. He was a beloved fiancé of Chelsea Buchanan. Cherished father of Leilani Celio and Xavier Rodriguez. Cherished step-father of Isaiah Cervantes. Devoted son of Xavier and Rocio (Mijares) Rodriguez. Dearest brother of Katherine Rodriguez and Xavier Rodriguez Jr. Adored nephew of many aunts and uncles. Fond cousin and dear friend of many. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jose & Esperanza Rodriguez and Alfonso & Guadalupe (Zacarias) Mijares. 

Chris was extremely passionate about cars and racing. He never missed an opportunity to cruise around the city and listen to music. His true joys were his children and spending time with family and friends. Chris was known to be an amazing father, great friend, hard worker, life of the party, humorous, and generous by his loved ones. He will be incredibly missed by all of his family and friends. 

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, CDC guidelines as well as State and Local rules will be followed. Facemasks and social distancing will be enforced. Visitation will be held on Thursday 2-9pm.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 9:30am prayers from Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago to Church of the Annunciata.  Mass 10am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family (to begin a Trust Fund for his children) would be appreciated.  773-731-2749 www.elmwoodchapel.com

Salvador is devastated by the loss of Chris he said chris was a very dedicated and doting father and friend he will be deeply missed and remembered forever.
