Linda Janowski (nee Galban), age 73, of Valparaiso, IN and formerly of the East Side, passed away on July 31, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 21, 1946 in Chicago, IL. The daughter of the late Manuel and Charmaine Galban. Linda is survived by her loving children Michelle (David) Figlio, Brandon (Mary) Janowski and Belinda (Russell) Karas. Linda fiercely loved and cherished her grandchildren. She was "Nana" to Nathan and Natalie Figlio, Lillian and Ella Janowski, and Madelyn and Morgan Karas. Linda is the dearest sister to Carmen (Bob Zatarga) Garcia and Jesse (Jackie) Galban. Linda is also survived by her loving nephews, Dakota and Tyler Galban and Aaron Garcia. Linda also leaves behind aunts, cousins, and friends whom will miss her dearly. Linda will be remembered for her sense of humor and quick wit that kept everyone on their toes. Linda was a kind and thoughtful soul who would try to find the best in everyone. Our hearts are broken and our loving memories we will carry forever. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. (Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic , social distancing and attendance guidelines set forth by federal, state and local health departments will be followed). Funeral services Thursday, August 6, 2020 10:30 a.m. prayers from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, to Annunciata Church. Mass 11:00 a.m. (Face coverings are required).
