"My mom went to High School with Jerry, but I was able to meet him once and talk to him on the phone. I heard stories about him from High School and during my mom's friendship with him over the last couple years felt like I got to know him. Jerry was a true American Hero. He is someone who embodied the idea of selflessness, helping others and being in service to others. I am thankful and honored for the opportunity I had to know him. He was a shining light of God's love in the world. Thank you, Jerry, for being an amazing person and touching the lives of so many people!"
