Lucio Benavidez, “Tex”,  age 92, late of the East Side and formerly of South Chicago passed away on May 23, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Trinidad Benavidez “Triny” for 67 years, one week short of 68 years.  Loving father of Angelina (Reno) Adams, Conrad Benavidez, David (Trinidad) Benavidez, Elida Rusk, Mario (Beatriz) Benavidez, Celia Benevidez, Lucio (Sylvia) Benavidez, Jr. and Rene (Sandra) Benavidez. Devoted grandfather of 19, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather of many. Dear son of the late Lucio and late Elida Benavidez. Preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters; Amador, Arturo, Alejandro, Arnulfo, Eloisa, Antioco, Armando, Alvaro, Evelia and Adan Benavidez, Juan and Jose Angel Galindo. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Inland Steel. Visitation, funeral services and cemetery services will be privately held for the family. "Uncle Lucio had a kind and loving soul. “Mijo” with always stay present within my heart, I will deeply miss him. I’m sorry we’re not able to attend, but look forward to the time we can all get together to celebrate his life as family. My deepest condolences to all my cousins and extended families.
