Doris B. Robinson, “Dot”, (nee Blanton), age 82, late of Homewood, IL and formerly of Chicago passed away on May 18, 2020. Beloved wife of Walter Robinson for 50+ years. Loving mother of Kenneth Robinson, Melanie Davis, Valerie (David Saucedo) Robinson-Saucedo and Pamela Robinson. Devoted grandmother of Aisha (Chris) Williams, Alauna (Anthony) Hetherington and Deon Thompson. Cherished great-grandmother of Maliya Himebauch, Christopher Burnett, Cameron, Alasia and Leonte’ Hetherington, and Payton Thompson. Dear daughter of the late William and late Lillie Blanton. Dearest sister of the late Carol Harvey, Shirley Blanton, Yolanda Blanton, Ronnie Blanton, Junior Blanton and Cheryl Blanton Crisp. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. In 2019, Doris B. Robinson made it her life’s mission to publish her book of poems entitled Growing Pains that captured the highs and lows of a housewife and mother.Services will be privately held for the family.
