Wayne E. Matoy, 87, of Schererville, Indiana died on April 8, 2020. A man of faith, he was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church, Hammond, Indiana. He retired in 1995 as a member of Local #150 Midwest Operating Engineers. Survivors include his widow Betty Matoy, daughter Donna Perkins, son Wayne (Karen) Matoy Jr. Grandsons: Cole (Ashley) Perkins, Jared (Amanda) Perkins, and Wyatt Perkins. Great-granddaughters Noa and Emma Perkins. Brother Tyson Matoy, Sisters: Alva Logsdon, Minnie Hamilton, and Mary Ann Morgan and a large loving extended family. Due to the current pandemic a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Elmwood Funeral Chapel and Crematory. For more information 219-365-3474
