John W. Betourne Sr., age 77.  Late of Lansing, IL.  Passed away March 11, 2020.  Beloved husband of Laura for 41 years.  Loving father of Angela (Brian) Tackett, John Betourne Jr., Jeffrey (Kim) Best, Oleda (Dan) King, Mark (Patti) Best, Elaine (Bart) Stough, and Melynda (Mike) Delis.  Cherished grandfather of 18 and great grandfather of 7.  Dearest nephew of Shirley Heuk.  Dear brother of Sharon.  Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  John was a retired employee of CTA and Dutch Farms.  He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers, and Notre Dame fan.  John was a longtime pastor and man of faith.  Visitation Monday, March 16, 2020 from 3:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm at the Elmwood Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave at 97th LN.) St. John.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.  For more information 219-365-3474.
