Fortino L. Garibay, Sr. Age 80. Late of the East Side, formerly of South Chicago. Passed away on January 17, 2020. Beloved husband of Diduvina (nee Soto) for 52 years. Loving father of Maria A. (Sergio) Gallegos, Ana L. (Rogelio Sr.) Navarro, Fortino E. Jr. (Eva Maria) Garibay, Claudia (David) Garibay, and Roberto (Liliana) Garibay. Cherished grandfather of Rogelio Jr., Gabriel, Amanda, Brian, Jacob, Anna Dalay, Fortino III, Roberto A., and Diego. Survived by his siblings: Maria Luisa, Maria Dolores, Marcial, Victor, Antonio, Patricia, Luz Elena, and Ester Maria Guadalupe. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Marcial and Antonia, and siblings: Julia, Rosalia, and Sara Berta. Fortino worked as a steel worker for Valley Mould & Iron Corporation and Republic Steel.
