Zivka Mitic

Passed away on January 9, 2020

Zivka Mitic, nee Petrovic, age 80, late of Hammond, IN, formerly of Calumet City and the East Side, passed away January 9, 2020.  Beloved wife of Svetislav “Tisa” Mitich for 61 years.  Loving mother of Zivojin (Sanja) Mitich and Dragica “Dee” (Nebojsa) Djordjevic.  Cherished grandmother of Sanja, Nikola, Stefan and Mihailo.  Adored great grandmother of Aleksandar.  Zivka is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends both in Serbia and the U.S.  She is a retired employee of South Chicago Community Hospital and a member of the St. Simeon Circle of Sisters.  Zivka enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and gardening but her true love was spending time with her grandchildren.  Visitation Sunday 1-8pm at Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago.  Pomen Service 7pm.  Funeral services Monday, January 13, 2020 where Zivka will lie in state from 8:30am until time of services at 9am DIRECTLY AT St. Simeon Mirotocivi Serbian Orthodox Church, 3737 E. 114^th St., Chicago. Rev.
