Daniel A. Yakas, age 67.  Late of Alsip formerly of Chicago.  Passed away December 26, 2019.  Beloved husband of Deborah (nee Markiewicz) for 43 years.  Loving father of Nicholas (Tricia) Yakas and Nicolette A. (Daniel Schmitt) Yakas.  Cherished grandfather of Charlotte, Samantha, Gwendolyn, and Mackinzie.  Dearest brother of the late Charles Yakas, Ellen Barnhart, Robert Yakas, the late Frank Yakas, Dennis Yakas, Michael Yakas, and James Yakas.  Dear son-in-law of Frank and Agnes Markiewicz and brother-in-law of Frank Markiewicz.  Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Dan was a retired employee of Frito Lay.  He was an avid bowler and employee of Palos Lanes.  Visitation Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 1:00 pm until time of closing prayers at 7:00 pm at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home 10701 S. Harlem Ave. Worth.  Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Kindey Foundation in Dan’s name.
