Richard E. Binkowski “Bingo”, age 79. Late of Merrillville, Indiana. Passed away December 18, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Sandra for 56 years. Loving father of Dawn (John) Drwiega, Dorianne (John) Weinberger, and Nicholas Binkowski. Cherished Papa of Kari Drwiega, John Drwiega, Leslie (Jason) Halliday, Brittany Weinberger, Meghan (Robert) McDougall, Patrick “PJ” Vinci, Payton Vinci, Caleb Yager and Olivia Binkowski. Devoted great grandfather “Papa Bingo” of Kaitlyn, Hunter, and Aiden Halliday, and Connor McDougall. He is preceded in death by parents Pearl and Walter Binkowski, daughter Jennifer Vinci, brothers Walter and Eugene, and sister Jackie. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Memorial visitation Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 1:00 pm until time of service at 3:00 pm at the Elmwood Chapel 11300 W. 97th LN. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th LN.) St. John.
