Maria T. Ortiz, (nee Torres), age 92, late of South Chicago passed away on September 2, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Eduardo Ortiz. Loving mother of Elisa Mercado, Pablo (Lourdes) Ortiz, Wilfredo Ortiz and Providencia (Herman) Ramos. Devoted grandmother of Clara Boggess, Angel Eduardo (Lora) Mercado, Danny Purevich, Lisa M. (Luis) Ortiz, Pablo, Jr. (Mariel) Ortiz, Javier Ramos and Riccardo (Serena) Ramos. Cherished great-grandmother of Gabrielle, Michael, Reese, Samantha, Stephanie, Mia, Emiliano, Diego and Amelia Maria. Maria was a longtime active parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in South Chicago. Visitation Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 1-8 p.m. Funeral services Monday, September 9, 2019 at 8:45 a.m. from the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
