Barbara A. Jankowski, “Barb”, (nee Schaeffer), age 70, late of Calumet City, IL and formerly of South Chicago passed away on August 16, 2019. Beloved wife of Tom for 50 years. Loving mother of Tim (Tracy) Jankowski, Tracy (Paul Rutz) Jankowski and late Tommy Jankowski. Devoted grandmother of Cameron (Angelica Oropeza) Jankowski, Elyssa (Stanley Degand) Jankowski, Alexandria Jankowski, Isabella Jankowski and Taylor Zorzi. Cherished great-grandmother of Kaysen and Jaxson. Dear daughter of the late Edwin Schaeffer and late Rosella Salinas. Dear sister of Edwin (Roni) Schaeffer, Linda Shaeffer, Annette Anderson, James Salinas, Don (Dori) Salinas, Paul (Joan) Salinas, Vikki (Fred) Seabrook, Ruth Salinas and late Robert Salinas. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Barb loved taking care of her family. When her children were young, she was a member of the Lincoln Elementary School (Calumet City, IL) PTA as well as a Girl Scout Troop Leader. Later in Life she was always available to lend an ear and offer advice, loved to cook and bake for her family and friends and gave great hugs when needed. She will be missed by all who knew her. Visitation Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 1-8 p.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago.
