Celia “Sally” Olmedo, (nee Arechiga), age 89, late of the East Side and formerly of South Chicago, passed away August 7, 2019.  Beloved wife of the late Miguel Olmedo.  Loving mother of Luz (Tony) Rosales, late Lupe (Alberto) Covarrubias, Stella (late David) Henthorn, Christine (late Antonio) Diaz and Luis M. (Lola) Olmedo. Cherished grandmother of Irma, Susie, Rosie, Martin, Celia, Alicia, Veronica, Alberto Jr., Miguel, Luis, Sabrina, Alex, Antonio Jr., Robert, Patricia, Stella, Gustavo, Luis Jr., Michael and Michelle.  Adored great grandmother of 33 and great great grandmother of “one on the way”.  Dear sister of Stella (late Kenneth) Beck. Fond aunt of Keith (Debbie) Beck, Maria (Jason) Zimmerman and Kirk Beck.  Preceded in death by her parents Luis and Guadalupe Arechiga and her sister Mary Louise Arechiga.  Sally was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at South Shore Hospital for 30+ years who enjoyed sewing in her spare time.  A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 9:30am until time of Memorial Mass at 10am DIRECTLY AT St. George Church, 9546 S.
