Thomas E. Nawara, “Reno”, age 71, late of Hegewisch and formerly of South Chicago passed away on July 20, 2019. Beloved partner of late Christine M. Boberek for 35 years. Loving “father” of Mary Beth (Timothy Migler) Dietz.  Proud Papa of Kayla, Krista, & Kyle Dietz.  Dear son of the late Michael Nawara and the late Frances (Kan) Nawara. Dearest brother of Michael (Georgia) Nawara and Charles (Kathy) Nawara. Fond uncle of David (Beth), Christine, Jennifer Nawara and Timothy Schmidt. U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran.  Retired Grain Elevator Superintendent for Nidera, LLC. Thomas loved to gamble, golf, and fish and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Blackhawks. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617.
