Lorraine S. Vellegas (nee Mackiewicz), age 91.  Late of Cedar Lake, Indiana formerly of Hegewisch and South Chicago.  Passed away June 4, 2019.  Loving mother of Jim (Gladis) Vellegas, Debbie (Bill) Hartman, and Nick (Nadine Zepeda) Vellegas.  Devoted grandmother of Randy, Jim, Lauren, Kristen, and Kaitlyn.  Cherished great grandmother of 5.  Former wife of the late Phil Vellegas.  Lorraine was a retired employee of the Chicago Board of Education.  Visitation Friday 3-8 pm.  Funeral Services Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 10:30 am from the Elmwood Funeral Chapel – Cedar Lake 9931 Lincoln Plaza Way (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97^th LN.) to Holy Name Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am.  Private entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Please omit flowers.
