"Joe was practically a life long friend. We met at Glenwood Roller Rink, as kids, and then our paths crossed again, during the nightclub days in our early 20's, and most recently, much later in life, when I hired him to share his talent of photography and capture some images of my closest friends. He's always been a stand up guy and my prayers go out to all who knew and loved him in the coming days. Godspeed Joe. Hope heaven's full of nothing nice catches! "

"Joe you were a friend and truly dedicated member of the Whiting Robertsdale Boat Club. You were always there to help when we needed it. You played an essential role in obtaining the new building which we now all enjoy. Your "wish list" and work on the fish cleaning stations helped get the building to its completion. A special thanks for your donated print of St Joe lighthouse which proudly hangs with recognition in our club. Your smile and positive energy will be missed. We've lost a good friend but God has gained a strong soldier. We will all miss you, Mike Hill, Commodore WRBC."
