Passed away on May 4, 2019

Jesse “Jay” Carrillo, age 58.  Late of Lowell, Indiana formerly of Dolton, Illinois.  Passed away May 4, 2019.  Beloved husband of Helen (nee Salin) for 30 years.  Loving father of Emma Carrillo.  Devoted son of Lydia and the late Robert Carrillo.  Dearest brother of Elizabeth (Kevin) Morrow, Faye (Randy) Winter, Michael (Denise) Carrillo, Christine Carrillo, and the late Robert Carrillo.  Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Jesse was a longtime carpenter and member of Union Local #272 formerly Union Local #434.  He was a volunteer fireman for the Schneider Fire Department.  Jesse loved to sketch and was very artistic, he also enjoyed to tinker with cars, antiquing, woodworking, the outdoors, walk the flea markets aka “the fleas” but most of all he loved to cook and grill for his friends and family.  Visitation and Funeral Services Friday, May 10, 2019 from 2:00 pm until time of service at 6:30 pm at the Elmwood Funeral Chapel – Cedar Lake 9931 Lincoln Plaza Way (1/2 block south of 133rd Ave. across from the library at Lincoln Plaza Way.  A celebration of life and fellowship will follow the services at the funeral home at 7:00 pm directly at Celebration Church 8500 W. 139th Ct.
