Jose L. Veloz, age 78, late of Whiting, Indiana and formerly of Laredo, Texas, passed away on May 2, 2019. Beloved husband of Maria Veloz. Loving father of Rudy Rodriguez, late Arthur Veloz, Ruben (Margaret) Veloz, MaryLou Veloz, Elizabeth Veloz, Rossanne Veloz, Jose Veloz III, Genoveva Veloz, Jose L. Veloz, Agustin (Courtney) Martinez and Jorge (Michelle) Morales. Devoted grandfather and great-grandfather of many. Retired employee of U. S. Steel South Works. Visitation Monday, May 6, 2019 from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services Tuesday, May 7, 2019 with prayers at Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Ewing Ave. Chicago, IL 60617 at 8:45 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
